Open Positions

Creative Marketing Intern

 

We are currently looking to recruit rock star marketing and advertising students with an entrepreneurial mindset who are passionate about storytelling, fiction, and empowering creative writers fullest potential.

Below are some of the activities that we anticipate this role handling.

– Outreach and discovering the next best creative talent for Syllble and generating leads.

– Planning and sometimes executing marketing efforts for hundreds of our writers.

– Plan and manage a monthly social media and email campaigns with a growth mindset.

Time Commitment

We estimate that this role will require between 2-4 hours per week, depending on how busy we are. As a lot of this work is team-based, we prefer candidates who can commit at least 3 months to this position.  

Preferred Skills

We are looking for folks with a wide range of skills including, but not limited to:

– Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.

– Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with our customers.

– Social media “Growth Hacking” experience.

– Experience with an Email Service Provider such as Mailchimp or Getresponse.

– Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.

This is an unpaid position with room for commission through various means of talent discovery and acquisition.

EXPLORERS PROGRAMS COMMITTEE MEMBER

Our explorers committee is currently recruiting talented creative artists, scientists, educators, historians, engineers who have an entrepreneurial mindset and are passionate about storytelling, fiction and empowering creative writers fullest potential.

Below are some of the activities that we anticipate this committee handling.

– Outreach and discovering the next best creative talent for Syllble and generating leads

– Planning and sometimes executing workshops for writers and development process of Syllble vision and community

– Working as a coach on Syllble’s digital forum leading talks and supporting production writing teams

Time Commitment

We estimate that this role will require between 2-4 hours per week, depending on how busy we are. As a lot of this work is team-based, we prefer candidates who can commit at least 3 months to this committee.  

Preferred Skills

We are looking for folks with a wide range of skills including, but not limited to:

– Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

– Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers

– Outreach and hosting events.

– Volunteer management

– Excellent written skills

Explorers are pro bono work and paid by commision through various means of talent discovery and acquisition, as coaches and workshop facilitators and Syllble Hub Builders

EXPLORERS PROGRAMS COMMITTEE LEAD

Syllble is seeking process-oriented and strategic individuals who have an entrepreneurial mindset and are passionate about storytelling, fiction and empowering creative writers fullest potential. As a Explorers Committee Lead, you will part of our team leadership.

You will also be responsible for managing and setting the strategy for the Explorers Committee, a small team of eclectic group commision-based and pro bono creatives.

Time Commitment

We estimate that this role will require between 2-4 hours per week, depending on how busy we are. As a lot of this work is team-based, we prefer candidates who can commit at least 3 months to this committee.

Responsibilities as a Committee Lead

As the Explorers Committee Lead, you will help set Syllble’s digital and organizational strategy. You will also assist in recruiting additional members to the committee. This is an exciting position that will give you the opportunity to interface with many members of the Syllble Studios including the leadership team and advisory network, as well as our extended network of professionals and organizations.

We are looking for two (2) Explorers Committee Leads who will share the responsibilities listed below:

Main Responsibilities

– Project management of the Explorers Committee:

– Setting goals, deadlines, and agendas for meetings

– Delegating responsibilities and ensuring your team is on track

– Serve as the main point of contact for the Explorers Committee

– Collaborate with Syllble’s leadership team to develop the strategic direction of the organization

Additional Commitments

– Attend the majority of all-hands meetings (once a month)

– Attend Leadership meetings (once a month)

– Explorers Committee meetings on a regular basis (as needed)

Bonus: Make valuable connections for Syllble in business development, partnerships, and expertise.

 

Preferred Skills

We are primarily looking for individuals who will be comfortable managing and working with a team of individuals with diverse skill sets. As we are a brand new organization, you are ideally a self-starter and excited about the prospect of building a new organization from the bottom up.

Aside from these characteristics, any skill(s) from the list below may be helpful:

– Experience in project management, program management, or product management

– Technical skills such as software engineering, data analysis, or UX is a plus

– Tech experience

– Volunteer management

– Mentorship experience
