(WASHINGTON, DC) January 29, 2019 – Syllble was accepted in the 202Creates Springs 2019 Residency Class. 202Creates is an initiative launched by DC Mayor Bowser back in 2016 and led by the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment (OCTFME), the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development to promote/amplify the District’s creative entrepreneurs & creative economy. Syllble’s will be working to be the number #1 publisher in the District, improve the business web-based platform, solidifying strong stakeholder partnerships for user growth and add value the DC creative economy.
According to OCTFME “Washington, DC is home to 2,400 arts-related businesses. Washington, DC ranks first in creative businesses per capita, and the District’s creative economy generates more than 120,000 jobs, with 1,800 creative jobs added in 2016.”
