This summer, Syllble launched its first-ever Film Club at the prestigious Lionsgate Theater in Santa Monica with a screening of Bong Joon-ho’s Snowpiercer in May 24, 2025.
The event brought together a small group storytellers, filmmakers, and community members to experience the film’s gripping exploration of survival, class struggle, and resilience aboard a never-stopping train in a frozen world.
After the screening, participants gathered at Santa Monica Brew Works for an engaging discussion that delved into the film’s layered worldbuilding and its connections to contemporary social issues.
The day set the tone for the Syllble Film Club as a new space where cinema sparks dialogue, imagination, and community around the craft of storytelling.
